MTORRES acquired UTT (UNIVERSAL TISSUE TECHNOLOGY) in March 2017. This acquisition complements the MTORRES’ existing business to serve customers worldwide in the tissue market, expanding new capabilities with complete automatic tissue converting lines. The new company now operates under the name of MTORRES TISSUE. UNIVERSAL TISSUE TECHNOLOGIES, was created in 2013, and was a young and growing Italian Company with a highly-experienced team in the design, manufacturing and service of complete automatic tissue lines. The merger of two experienced teams becoming one leverages innovative technology from different sectors and enables MTORRES TISSUE to provide exceptional value to our customers, along with the ability to supply complete automatic tissue converting lines. The objective of MTORRES TISSUE is the Research, Development and Production in the field of converting machines for the tissue Industry. The equipment is mainly addressed to the converting of toilet rolls, kitchen towels, jumbo rolls for industrial application, hand towel, and similar products. MTORRES TISSUE is located in Lucca, Italy as this is the centre of the tissue industry in Europe, both in terms of actual production of tissue products and of the concentration of machine suppliers and sub-contractors. Aligning with MTorre's tradition of extensive efforts on R&D activities, the highly skilled workforce is already carrying out R&D to develop new solutions specifically focused on the Tissue Worldwide Customer needs.

The Tissue Industry has now in Lucca a strong reliable supplier of complete automatic Consumer and Professional tissue lines.
